The Boston Public Library Fund is pleased to announce the establishment of the Herb Hill Fund for South End Children’s Programming. Created by South End Resident Roz Hill, in honor of her husband Herb’s 95th birthday, the fund celebrates his love of writing and learning while investing in the future of Boston’s young readers.
The couple are excited about both the rebuilding of the South End Branch and the role it will play in supporting learning beyond the classroom. “The Library brings so much to so many,” Herb said, while Roz added, “Every child deserves an opportunity, and we’re glad that this fund will help create programs that provide enrichment for children in the South End and Roxbury.”
