Donors Fund BPL’s Chef-in-Residence

With the generous support of anonymous donors through the Boston Public Library Fund, the Boston Public Library has welcomed a Chef-in-Residence to spearhead programming at the Nutrition Lab within the Roxbury Branch. Boston resident Glorya Fernandez began her one-year residency in February. She is the founder of gogobytes, a plant-centered educational business, and an advocate for conscientious healing with food.

In her new role, Glorya will increase nutritional literacy and cooking programs for community members of all ages and hopes to empower patrons to explore cooking techniques, cultural heritage, and nutrition by offering demonstrations and hands-on classes. We can’t wait to see what Glorya and our patrons cook up!
