Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change or cancel my recurring gift?
Absolutely. We want your giving to be meaningful and manageable. You can increase, decrease, or pause your monthly gift at any time by contacting us at info@bplfund.org or 617‑859‑2031. Any changes or cancellations will be reflected with the next scheduled payment.
Is my gift tax‑deductible?
You’ll receive a single year‑end receipt every January for easy tax filing.
Do Conservators still get annual appeal mailings?
No — your recurring contribution replaces multiple solicitations, reducing waste and expense. However you will hear more about events and stories from the Boston Public Library through our monthly e-newsletters throughout the year!
When will my monthly donation be charged?
Your recurring gift will be processed on the same day you start each period. For example, if you begin on the 10th, future donations will process on the 10th of each month (or every other week, if you choose bi-weekly). We offer flexible options—including monthly, bi-weekly, or quarterly—so you can give on a schedule that works best for you.
What if there is an issue with my first payment, or any other down the line?
We’ll reach out to you right away if there are any issues with your payment—like a card expiring or a transaction not processing—so you can quickly update your information and ensure your impact continues uninterrupted.
