In a tribute to Holly Safford, their mother, Alex and Andrew Marconi dedicated a Bates Hall reading lamp in her honor. They knew the gift would be a meaningful one and the family recently gathered for a small reception to unveil the engraved plaque on the lamp they chose.
“My relationship with the Boston Public Library spans decades, and my sons knew this was the perfect way to recognize my appreciation for such a special institution,” said Holly. “I’m delighted to have a lamp named in my honor.”
Holly is the founder of The Catered Affair and for more than 15 years the company has served as the Library’s events partner.
