A Record-Breaking Celebration!

We are thrilled to share incredible news about our National Library Week campaign: thanks to the generosity of more than 900 donors, we not only met our goal—we surpassed it, raising a total of $100,105!

This is the highest number of National Library Week donors we’ve ever seen and this collective generosity will help the Boston Public Library expand access to knowledge, essential resources, and life-changing community programs.

“I know that for many kids and adults, the library is a safe haven in their community, a place where knowledge and quiet reign in an otherwise disorderly world. The language classes, book clubs, etc. foster a wonderful sense of connectedness for adults. One reads so many memoirs about the life-changing impact of a readily accessible library. I want to support that.” -Anonymous Donor

From all of us at the BPL Fund, thank you for making National Library Week a resounding success and for being part of our mission to ensure the BPL remains viable, engaging, accessible, and free to all.
