Banned Books Week | October 1-7, 2023

This week, Banned Books Week, we defend the RIGHT TO READ. The Boston Public Library has recently become the third public library in the country — alongside Brooklyn and Seattle Public Libraries — to join a growing movement called Books Unbanned. This initiative will give young people ages 13 to 26 across the United States who have felt the impact of book bans free access to the BPL’s digital collections.

Make a donation to the Boston Public Library Fund during Banned Books Week, October 1-7, and we’ll send you our RIGHT TO READ sticker so that you can help amplify our message.

When you make a gift to the BPLF, you help support BPL Books Unbanned and make a stand for the freedom and RIGHT TO READ.
