Boston Globe reporter Emily Sweeney discusses her new biography of Dr. John “Dropkick” Murphy, the champion wrestler turned physician who, decades before the Betty Ford Center, opened a one-of-a-kind farm in Acton where elite athletes trained and those struggling with addiction could quietly recover. Drawing on years of research and interviews, Sweeney brings to life the remarkable story and the colorful cast of characters who passed through Bellows Farm.
